New Contract Academic Staff

We bid welcome to our new contract academic staff. Let's get to know them a little better.

Dr Rita Sundari
Dr Rita Sundari, from Indonesia, is currently a contract Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, FS, UTM. She holds a Doctorate Degree in analytical chemistry from UKM and also has a Post Doctorate Degree in biosensor technology (UKM, 2009). By profession, Dr Rita was a Lecturer in biochemistry in the Medical Faculty, University of Trisakti, Jakarta (1978-1983) and a lecturer in physical and analytical chemistry in the Department of Geology and Mining, Faculty of Energy, University of Trisakti, Jakarta (1983-1996). Her academic research includes a wide range of areas specifically in mineralogy, chemical sensors, environmental wastewater and fuel cells. She is a member of the Consultation Group in Hydrogen Fuel Cell for Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) fabrication, and in Superheated Steam Drying Technique for fibers, and is an active member in the review study of coal exploration and exploitation, and in coal geostatistic modeling. She is a classically trained pianist (since the age of 7) and loves reading books on psychology and philosophy.


Dr Leny Yuliati
Dr Leny is from Indonesia and is currently employed as a contract Senior Lecturer at the Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Studies, UTM. She obtained her Masters and Doctoral Degree from Nagoya University, Japan. Her academic field of interest include heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis, nanomaterials and mesoporous material.


Dr Dadan Hermawan
Dr Dadan is currently a contract Senior Lecturer at the Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Studies, UTM. Dr Dadan was formally a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Purwokerto, Indonesia (2000-2004). He obtained his PhD Degree in Chemistry, UTM, specilaizing in Separation Chemistry. His research interest include areas in Chromatography and Capillary Electrophoresis for the chiral and non-chiral analysis of pesticides, drugs and environmental samples.


Dr Hendrik Oktendy Lintang
Dr Hendrik is currently serving as a contract Senior Lecturer at the Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Studies, UTM. He obtained his MSc and PhD from the Chemistry and Biotechnology Department, School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include Mesoporous Silicas and Zeolites, Nanostructured Materials, Supramolecular Assembly, Luminescent Materials, Functional Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials, and Coordination Chemistry
