3rd Junior Chemists Colloquium 3JCC

Foreword for 3rdJCC
It is my great pleasure to welcome all our invited keynote speakers and participants to the 3rd Junior Chemists Colloquium (3rdJCC 2011), an event between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). This colloquium held during the most exciting year of chemistry as we celebrate The International Year of Chemistry (IYC2011).

The theme of this colloquium, Young Generation of Chemists Moving Forward Through Chemistry is very appropriate and timely to the increasing efforts and focus in nurturing human capitals in scientific research and development particularly chemistry related.

Moreover, there are constant influxes of evolving new research directions, whereby researchers of Young Turks must regularly embrace the most current advancements. In response, we have convened this colloquium which enables participants to present their research findings, disseminate ideas and serve as a platform for collaborative and innovative research in chemistry. We believe that sharing of knowledge and encompassing of the supportive ecosystem are crucial that can stimulate our research activities.

On behalf of the colloquium organizing committee, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have contributed either directly or indirectly to the success of the event. Last and not least, many thanks to the organizing committee for the hard work in ensuring the smooth running of the colloquium.

Congratulations for being part of this colloquium and I am certain we will find the colloquium both rewarding and enjoyable with massive opportunities and meaningful friendships.
